Paul is an experienced digital leader with extensive leadership financial services experience. While still finishing his computer science degree at the University of Texas, Paul started developing high-performance active trader platforms for a a fintech startup that was acquired by Charles Schwab. This led to extensive work supporting VWAP trading algorithms and real time P&L calculations as a service for other areas of the business, including the first institutional trading API for Schwab.
He later joined projekt202, a leading in experience-led research, design, and development services firm where he served first as a Technical Architect and later as CTO. Under his oversight or directly as an architect he successfully delivered solutions for auto lending origination, home mortgage lending, information architecture and knowledge management for institutional traders, a custom CRM for ultra-high net worth customers, a white label mobile banking app, and a SaaS platform for Retirement Investment Advisors.
He led a digital transformation for a large global investment bank as they transitioned to an agile, capability-based operating model while building human-centered design competency. From delivering working applications and solutions to internal users and consumers to building teams of risk and compliance-savvy engineers to develop modern controls, there isn't much he hasn't seen.
